Critical Thinking is Important to Our Life
Now, we will talk about types of deductive arguments and how to make us think critically in real life. The first one is Modus Ponens (affirmation). Modus Ponens is about confirming the premises. The second is Modus Tollens (Denial). Modus Tollens is about conclusion the premises. The third is about Hypothetical Syllogism (The Conclusion of Deductive). The conclusion from Hypothetical Syllogism is called hypothesis. The fourth is Disjunctive Syllogism (Pick and Throw the Premises).
In critical thinking, we learn how to combine
cause and effect in an argument or premises. For example, if we share our
arguments, there must be evidence that will support your causes in your arguments.
In critical thinking, avoid errors in logics or
misunderstanding. This misunderstanding can be avoid if we think objectively.
There are 4 mistakes in critically thinking. The first one is Ad Hominem or
misunderstanding about personal aspects of a person. The second is we are too
focus on something that we don’t like. The third is Tu Quoque. The fourth is too
focused on majority opinion.
The conclusion is we have to think critically
so that people don’t misunderstand us.
